Deloitte Trade Mission hosted at the Institute of Directors (IoD) London

Japan and the UK have a long-standing relationship when it comes to business and commerce. Over the years, the two countries have established strong trade ties, with the UK being one of Japan's largest European trading partners. On the 10th February 2023, Russell Dalgleish hosted seven visiting Japanese tech companies at the Institute of Directors (IoD) in Pall Mall, London.

The nerves shared this morning by our visitors will be the same as those about to present their business in San Francisco, Bangalore or Sydney. With pitch decks at the ready, the Japanese startups presented their organisations to the exclusive audience and panel of judges.

"Working with Deloitte Japan and the Department for Business and Trade, we are able to organize a trade mission in the UK for Japanese companies to pitch to a panel of judges at the IoD in London where we invited exclusive guests such as Investors, VCs, government officials, and relevant companies to see these innovative Japanese companies that were changing the industry. Through our Scottish Business Network, we were able to see gather relevant contacts that could really help with bringing these innovative Japanese Companies into the UK.
