Speaking on behalf of Scotland to over 200 leading international entrepreneurs during London Tech Week

June 2022

London Tech Week was back on 13-17 June 2022 with countless events across the city as the world’s leading tech innovators gathered in the UK. On Tuesday 14th June, Russell Dalgleish spoke on behalf of Scotland to over 200 leading international entrepreneurs.

The event organised by the superb Global Entrepreneur Team at the Department for International Trade (DIT) was held at the stunning Lancaster House. The session, chaired by Andrew Corbett-Jones, saw a passionate panel of speakers each emphasise the unique strengths of their region of the UK:

Russell Dalgleish - Scotland

Eamon Tuhami - Wales

Mary McKenna, MBE - Northern Island

Tim Luft - Midlands

Alan Lowdon OBE - North East

This discussion highlighted tech success in the UK and the benefits to international entrepreneurs to consider basing their business outside the hub that is London. The reaction to which was extraordinary with delegates literally queuing to speak with the panel for the next hour!

"I must congratulate the GEP Team for a professional event executed with entrepreneurial flair and thank my fellow speakers for sharing their insight."
"For me this event proved that we must do more to bring entrepreneurs together if we want to articulate the British proposition in such a way to inspire global innovators to base themselves in the UK. Entrepreneurs working together across the globe is a powerful force for good." - Russell Dalgleish, GEP Dealmaker for Department of International Trade
